Andre Bertolotti, CFA, is a head of Global Sustainable Research and Data with BlackRock Sustainable Investing (BSI). He is responsible for establishing and providing leadership to the global team in creating a platform ESG (environmental, social and governance) research capability and supporting sustainable investment solutions across the firm. Prior to joining BlackRock in 2018, Andre was Director of Research at Quotient Investors, developing and managing sustainable investment strategies. Ben Powell

Ben Powell, CFA, is Chief Investment Strategist for APAC within the BlackRock Investment Institute (BII). Based in Singapore, Mr. Powell is responsible for delivering value added market and investment insights across asset classes in the APAC region. He is experienced in developing both a macro level framework, and tactical ideas that sit within that framework. Mr. Powell has more than 17 years of experience in capital markets. Before joining BlackRock in 2019, Mr. Powell was co-Head of UBS Investment Bank Multi-Asset APAC Sales based in Singapore. In this role he was responsible for managing a team generating insights for clients across Fixed Income, Equities, Absolute Return and Quantitative investment strategies. Mr. Powell started his career with UBS in London and has also worked for Barclays in Hong Kong. Mr. Powell is a graduate in Economics and Philosophy from the University of Bristol. Deborah Winshel, Managing Director, is the Global Head of Social Impact at BlackRock, leading the firm's initiatives to create social impact on a global scale. Prior to joining BlackRock, Ms. Winshel was President and Chief Operating Officer of The Robin Hood Foundation, New York's largest poverty- fighting organization. Known for its rigorous, metrics-based approach to fighting poverty, Robin Hood has invested over $1.5 billion since 1988 in hundreds of the most effective programs that help lift and keep children, families, and adults out of poverty. Ms. Winshel was previously the Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Prior to working in the non-profit sector, Mrs. Winshel spent more than a dozen years working in New York and London for JP Morgan's Investment Bank, culminating as a Managing Director advising key corporate clients on a variety of financial, capital markets and strategic issues.

Elga Bartsch, PhD

Head of Macro Research of the BlackRock Investment Institute

Dr. Bartsch heads up economic and markets research of the Blackrock Investment Institute (BII). BII provides connectivity between BlackRock's portfolio managers, originates economic and market research and publishes insights. Prior to joining BlackRock, Dr. Bartsch was Global Co-Head of Economics and Chief European Economist at Morgan Stanley in London. She has more than 20 years of macro research experience and is a member of the ECB Shadow Council and a trustee of the IFO Institute for economic research. She also served on and chaired the Economic and Monetary Policy Committee of the German Banking Association. She writes about the global economy, global markets and policy. RO-631725

Holly Framsted

Head of US Factor ETFs

Holly Framsted, CFA, Director, is the Head of US Factor ETFs, within BlackRock's ETF and Index Investments Group. In this capacity, Ms. Framsted is responsible for driving strategy, analytics, thought leadership, sales enablement and client engagement for Factor ETFs across all asset classes. Ms. Framsted's service with the firm dates back to 2005, including her years with Barclays Global Investors (BGI), which merged with BlackRock in 2009. Prior to joining the Factors ETF team, she held various strategic product development roles within iShares. She also spent a number of years, including those at BGI as a portfolio manager for the Index Equity team where she was responsible for the management of various global equity portfolios for iShares, retail, and institutional accounts. Holly began her career at BGI in the Global Risk Management department where she helped implement a number of global policies. Prior to joining BGI, she was with ArcLight Capital Partners where she was responsible for various research, risk management and portfolio management related initiatives. Isabelle Mateos y Lago

Deputy Head of BlackRock's Official Institutions Group

Isabelle Mateos y Lago is Deputy Head of BlackRock's Official Institutions Group and a member of the firm's Global Operating Committee and Geopolitical Risk Steering Committee. Isabelle's service with the firm dates back to January 2015, initially as senior advisor to Vice Chairman Philipp Hildebrand. From 2016 to April 2019, she was Chief Multi-Asset Strategist in the BlackRock Investment Institute (BII). In that role she contributed to shape BII's macro investment views and led the firm's work on geopolitical risks and their market impact; she was also responsible for developing thematic investment thought-leadership, including in the area of sustainable investing. Prior to joining BlackRock, Isabelle was a senior official at the IMF, where she worked for 15 years in a range of positions straddling economic analysis, policy making, strategy, and global governance (including as G20-liaison and as a Member of the Executive Board). She started her career at the French Ministry of Finance.

Jean Boivin, PhD

Head of BlackRock Investment Institute

Jean Boivin, PhD, is the Head of the BlackRock Investment Institute (BII). The institute leverages BlackRock’s expertise and produces proprietary research to provide insights on the global economy, markets, geopolitics and long-term asset allocation – all to help clients and portfolio managers navigate financial markets. Dr. Boivin is also BII’s Global Head of Research. Prior to joining BlackRock in 2014, he served as Deputy Governor of the Bank of Canada and Associate Deputy Finance Minister, serving as Canada's representative at the G7, G20 and Financial Stability Board. Dr. Boivin has also taught at Columbia Business School and HEC Montreal, and has written widely on macroeconomics, monetary policy and finance. Dr. Boivin earned a B.Sc. degree in economics from the Université de Montreal in 1995, an MA in economics from Princeton University in 1997 and a PhD in economics from Princeton University in 2000.

Jeff Shen

Co-CIO of Active Equity and Co-Head of Systematic Active Equity (SAE) at BlackRock

Jeff Shen, PhD, Managing Director, is Co-Chief Investment Officer of BlackRock Active Equities and Co-Head of the Systematic Active Equity (SAE) platform. He is also Head of Emerging Markets and a member of BlackRock’s Global Operating Committee. Dr. Shen began his investment career in 1997 and has long served as an adjunct professor at NYU where he teaches an MBA class on international investment.

Jeffrey Rosenberg, CFA

BlackRock Senior Portfolio Manager

Jeffrey Rosenberg, CFA, Managing Director, is a senior portfolio manager leading our alpha-seeking long-only and factor efforts for Blackrock’s Systematic Fixed Income (“SFI”) portfolio management team. He is an active member of the SFI Investment Committee and Executive Committee and senior portfolio manager for the Alternative Capital Strategies fund. Mr. Rosenberg’s service with the firm dates back to 2011, when he joined the Fundamental fixed income group as Chief Investment Strategist for fixed income. In 2016, this role transitioned into the BlackRock Investment Institute. His responsibilities included helping to develop BlackRock's strategic and tactical views on sector allocation within fixed income, currencies and commodities. Prior to joining BlackRock, Mr. Rosenberg spent nearly 10 years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch as the Chief Credit Strategist coordinating strategy across all fixed income, securitized assets, credit, FX and commodities. In addition, Mr. Rosenberg specialized in quantitative credit modeling and developed the first commercialized credit portfolio analytics system from a dealer firm. Mr. Rosenberg earned a Masters in Science degree in Computational Finance from Carnegie Mellon, a BA in Mathematics from the Univ. of Minnesota, and a BA in Finance from the Univ. of Wisconsin.

Karen Schenone, CFA

Fixed Income Product Strategist

Karen Schenone is a Fixed Income Product Strategist within BlackRock’s Global Fixed Income Group focusing on iShares fixed income ETFs. She concentrates on supporting iShares clients, generating content on fixed income markets and ETFs, developing new fixed income iShares ETF strategies, and partnering with the iShares team on product delivery. She writes about fixed income ETFs and trends in that sector.

Kurt Reiman, Managing Director, is BlackRock’s Chief Investment Strategist for Canada and is a member of the BlackRock Investment Institute (BII). Kurt is responsible for creating value added Canadian financial market and investment insights and communicating them, alongside our global views, to our clients as well as to investors and our client-facing professionals throughout Canada. Prior to his current role, Kurt was a Global Investment Strategist with responsibility for presenting BlackRock’s multi-asset investment views to clients throughout North America, primarily in the U.S. Kurt joined BlackRock in 2013 with over 15 years of experience in investment research and strategy. Prior to joining BlackRock, he was the Head of Thematic Research at UBS Wealth Management in New York and Zurich. He also held various analyst positions at Reuters and the G7 Group. Kurt earned a BS degree in business and economics from the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh and his MS degree in international relations with a concentration in international economics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, DC. Kurt also spent a year at McGill University in the finance department and focused on Canadian studies during his undergraduate and graduate degree programs.

Martin Small

Head of U.S. Wealth Advisory at BlackRock

Martin Small, Managing Director, is Head of BlackRock's U.S. Wealth Advisory business. He is responsible for leading BlackRock's relationships with wealth management firms and platforms, distributing BlackRock's alpha-seeking and iShares investment capabilities, and adoption of the firm’s portfolio construction and digital wealth technologies to financial advisors.

Matthew Tucker, CFA

Head of iShares Americas Fixed Income Strategy

Patrick Nolan, Director, is the Portfolio Strategist within BlackRock’s Portfolio Solutions group. The team provides consulting on portfolio construction and risk management to assist financial advisors with asset allocation, portfolio structure and implementation decisions. Paul Mele

Paul Mele is Head of Participant Engagement for BlackRock’s U.S. & Canada Defined Contribution Group. He has over 15 years of investor education experience, with a focus on helping people create and preserve wealth, make sound decisions and generate better financial outcomes.

Peter Hayes

BlackRock Head of Municipal Bonds

Peter is head of BlackRock’s Municipal Bonds Group and a member of the Americas Fixed Income Executive Team. He leads the firm’s Municipal Bond Operating Committee, which oversees municipal bond portfolio management, research and trading activities. He is also a member of BlackRock’s Global Operating Committee. Peter writes about municipal bonds.

Philipp Hildebrand, Vice Chairman of BlackRock, is a member of the firm’s Global Executive Committee, with the BlackRock Investment Institute (BII), BlackRock Sustainable Investing (BSI) and Financial Markets Advisory (FMA) businesses reporting to him. Mr Hildebrand is responsible for driving Sustainable Investing across the Firm. Mr. Hildebrand joined BlackRock in October 2012. Before coming to BlackRock, he served as Chairman of the Governing Board of the Swiss National Bank (SNB) until January 2012. In that capacity, he was also a Director of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), the Swiss Governor of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and a member of the Financial Stability Board (FSB), of which the Leaders of the G20 appointed him Vice Chairman in November 2011. Previously, Mr. Hildebrand was Chief Investment Officer of a Swiss private bank and a partner of Moore Capital Management in London. Between 2006 and 2009, he served as a member of the Strategic Committee of the French Debt Management Office. Mr. Hildebrand is a member of the Group of Thirty and an Honorary Fellow of Lincoln College, Oxford. He sits on the International Advisory Board of Oxford University’s Blavatnik School of Government and the International Leadership Council for Europe for the University of Toronto. He is a Chevalier de L’Ordre National du Mérite (France). Mr. Hildebrand earned a BA from the University of Toronto, an MA from the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva, and a DPhil from the University of Oxford.

Richard Turnill

Richard Turnill was BlackRock’s global chief investment strategist, and led investment strategy within the BlackRock Investment Institute. Previously he was chief investment strategist with the firm’s active management business and has also led BlackRock’s global equity team, serving as a portfolio manager.

Rick Rieder

BlackRock Chief Investment Officer of Global Fixed Income

Rick is BlackRock’s Chief Investment Officer of Global Fixed Income and a member of the company’s Global Operating Committee. Mr. Rieder is the lead portfolio manager of BlackRock’s Multi-sector funds including Strategic Income Opportunities Fund (BSIIX), Total Return Fund (MAHQX), Core Bond Fund (BFMCX) and also the Strategic Global Bond Fund (MAWIX).

Russ Koesterich, CFA

Portfolio Manager for BlackRock’s Global Allocation Fund

Russ is a Portfolio Manager for BlackRock’s Global Allocation Fund. He works with portfolio managers to establish macro-level views and also develops systematic strategies to augment the team’s security-selection process and risk management. He is the author of two books, including “The Ten Trillion Dollar Gamble,” on positioning portfolios for the growing U.S. deficit.

Scott Thiel

Chief Fixed Income Strategist

Scott Thiel, Managing Director, is Chief Fixed Income Strategist for BlackRock and a member of the BlackRock Investment Institute. He is responsible for developing and delivering thought leadership on asset allocation, including actionable global fixed income market views based on the insights of our investment community. Mr. Thiel represents BlackRock’s market views for fixed income to clients and in the media.

Thomas E. Donilon is the Chairman of the BlackRock Investment Institute. Previously, he served as National Security Advisor to President Barack Obama. In that capacity, he coordinated the administration’s foreign policy, intelligence, and military efforts, and served as the President’s emissary to a number of world leaders. Mr. Donilon chaired the Obama-Biden transition at the U.S. State Department and National Security Council. In 2016, he chaired the Presidential Commission to Enhance National Cybersecurity.
